Globally new media is replacing traditional way of communication. The reach and impact of new media is far stronger and long lasting than traditional media. Brahui language newspapers and magazines are facing
hardships to use and adopt alternate media platforms. Lack of resources and less technological and IT skills are hurdles in this transition. The newspapers published in Brahui language completely depends on government advertisements in the absence of wellestablished private sector. The owners of the newspapers are bound to follow government policies in every aspect, therefore journalists want to switch to new media with prime objective to highlight contemporary social, political, cultural and religious issue of Balochistan and to find better revenue generating opportunities to decrease dependency on government advertisements.
Dr. Babrak Niaz, Dr. Allauddin, Dr. Muhammad Fahim Baloch, Dr. Abdul Razaque Chhachhar Copyright (c) 2020 Authors who publish with Al-Burz journal agree to the following terms: 1. Following this idea it is true that the best reflection of a culture and society is found in the literature of that very community. Writers reflect culture in their writings because they can’t live without being influenced by the environment in which they live. Environment has its influence upon writers and that is why a writer or poet directly or indirectly describes his environment and culture. As compare to poetry, culture is visibly seen in prose. Same is the case of the reflection of Brahui culture in its prose. We easily know about the main cultural tenets of Brahui people through their literature. Their life-style, customs, food, education, professions, religion etc. are found in the prose of Brahui Literature. Modern genres in Brahui Prose, like novel, short story, drama etc. are the main sources of Brahui Culture. This article attempts to analyse modern genres of prose like novel, drama, short story and so on in Brahui language to discover and point out main features of Brahui Culture.

Key Words: Brahui, Culture, Balochistan, Literature, Prose
Dr. Muhammad Ali Dinakhel Copyright (c) 2020 Authors who publish with Al-Burz journal agree to the following terms: 1. The author employed content analysis, a branch of descriptive research to critically review fiction writing techniques, in comparison with the modern day fictions. The investigation revealed that the ‘Musaafir’ is a masterpiece of literary work in Brahui language, which focuses the portrayal of nature, characterizations, narration skills, theme and plot development, dialog formation, thought process, description of events and climax based fictitious short story. In the 19th century, two different scripts were found to be used in Brahui language. The fact remains, that Brahui has adopted different writing styles in different time periods, and the Phonemic problems have arisen in every script this language has followed. In this title analysis of the Mid Low Center Voices of Brahui language, in Sindhi adopted script, the author has highlighted those phonemic issues that relate to Brahui Vowels, which do occur in adopted scripts. Hence, the objective of this paper has been, to identify these issues regarding Mid Low Center Voice, “H”. The study has been conducted on the overseas Brahui work. The secondary data has been used to conduct this research. The basic research has satisfactorily helped to achieve the above mentioned objectives with positive results. Consequently, the author recommends further research work in Linguistics, particularly, in the above stated area.
Abdul Raziq Ababakki Copyright (c) 2020 Authors who publish with Al-Burz journal agree to the following terms: 1. Similarly, in this advanced technological age, many jobs are associated with media coverage, for example, military actions, affiliation of public with political and social activities, and intentions, actions and attitudes of community etc. For the transmission of these actions in news and newspapers headlines, powerful and influencing strategies are adopted in the use of language. Many characteristics of language are determined through its use and one of them is known as pragmatic approach. But, in Baluchistan context neither, an appropriate focus is provided to research study for pragmatic analysis nor is Searle’s taxonomy of speech acts studied in Baluchistan newspapers headlines. In this research, efforts have been made to fill up this gap in existing literature. The sample of study is selected from three Baluchistan newspapers i.e. Express (Quetta), Baluchistan Times and Tular (Noshkay) headlines. Forty news headlines are taken from selected three newspapers. Almost all the news statements are obtained from front pages and these headlines are analyzed in the light of Searle’s taxonomy of speech acts. The findings of study suggest that Searle’s taxonomy of speech act is applicable to selected Baluchistan newspapers headlines and statements are loaded with different intended meanings. The statistical analysis of the study reveals the effective employment of Representatives (assertives) speech acts in newspapers headlines. In conclusion it can be suggested that there might be specific intentions of the speakers in the news headlines.

Malik Ramzan, Hira Jalil Awan, Muhammad Ramzan, Hurria Maharvi Copyright (c) 2020 Authors who publish with Al-Burz journal agree to the following terms: 1.
